What is magick?

Hi Witchy Writers,

This week, I announced the opening of the Enchanted Writing Coven, a seasonal small group program where we use magickal tools to help you release writing blocks and empower your authentic writing flow.

There are so many ways to define the word, magick, and every practitioner has their own unique philosophy about it. So, today, I want to tell you what I mean when I say, magick.

Magick, with a k, is how you differentiate spiritual magickal practices from the theaterical, art of illusion, kind of magic.

For me, magickal tools are spiritual practices that create transformation, healing, and empowerment in your writing life. They are magickal, because the tools I use fall under the umbrella of witchcraft, and I am a practicing witch.

I like to call myself a Creative Witch, because my spiritual practices focus on transformation, healing, and empowerment for the creative life.

This means I focus on themes like:

  • Releasing cultural rules, beliefs, or limits that don’t serve you or your project, so you can feel less blocked.

  • Embracing your authentic voice, so you can say what you really want to say.

  • Discovering a creative process that feels enlivening and wonderful for YOU, so you can get into your authentic flow.

The magickal tools we use in Enchanted Writing Coven are intention setting, oracle cards, and guided energy healing.

In the coven, you will:

  • Set an intention at the beginning of the season for what you authentically want for your writing life.

  • Use oracle cards to help you see what is blocking you from moving toward your intention.

  • Use oracle cards to help you see what aspect of your authentic flow will help you move toward your intention.

  • Use guided energy healing to help you release your block

  • Use guided energy healing to help you empower your authentic flow

These tools are magickal practices that will help you create transformation, healing, and empowerment in your writing life. They will help you create a writing life that will feel fulfilling for YOU, even if it looks different from what you were taught writing should be.

The coven is a small, safe community, and it is really fun. Past members have especially loved the oracle cards, which I pull for everyone. They are usually spot on, and they help you go beneath the surface to see what’s really happening.

I would love for you to join us this summer! You can find out more and sign up here: https://www.enchantedwriting.com/coven

And if you have a question, hit reply to ask me anything.

xo,

Emma
