What is a coven?

Hi Witchy Writers,

Yesterday, I announced the opening of the Enchanted Writing Coven. And then this morning I realized you might not all know what a coven is, or you might find that word to be a little spooky, eery, or even scary.

So, today, I want to tell you what I mean by the word, coven.

My definition of a coven is a community of folks who do magick together to empower themselves and each other.

Magick, with a k, is how you differentiate spiritual magickal practices from the theaterical, art of illusion, kind of magic.

Anyway, witchcraft and covens tend to show up in pop culture as spooky things. You’ll know this if you’ve ever seen a horror movie with an evil coven up to absolutely no good.

But this is not what our coven is about. The Enchanted Writing Coven is a safe, kind, and wonderful community of folks who are up to helping each other find more freedom in their writing lives and in their lives as a whole.

We’re a coven because we are a tight knit group, 5 participants max, who actively support and encourage each other, and who use fun and powerful magickal tools to release writing blocks and empower our authentic writing flows.

This is different from other writing groups, because our focus is less on the writing itself, and more on the personal development and empowerment journey that will make your authentic writing life possible.

This coven is for you if you’ve been struggling with writing blocks or writing angst, and you want to feel empowered to write what and how you authentically want to. This group is the magick you need to create the fulfilling writing life of your dreams.
